...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow this evening, then mixed precipitation
expected late this evening into Friday morning. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 8 inches and ice accumulations of up to
one tenth of an inch expected. Locally higher accumulations up
to 10 inches expected in the Catskills Mountains.
* WHERE...Eastern Catskills, mid Hudson Valley, central and
southern Taconics, southern Berkshires and Litchfield Hills.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Friday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult, especially
during the evening commute today. Wintry conditions will also
affect the morning commute Friday as mixed precipitation
changes back to snow. Isolated power outages are possible.
Snowfall rates of one to two inches per hour will start early
this evening.

VALLEY...LITCHFIELD COUNTY CONNECTICUT...SOUTHEAST CATSKILLS AND
SOUTHERN BERKSHIRES THROUGH 7 PM...
An area of heavy snow continues to overspread the mid Hudson
Valley, Litchfield County Connecticut, southeast Catskills and
southern Berkshires from south to north through 7 PM.
High snowfall rates of over 2 inches per hour at times have been
reported in this region. Expect travel conditions to quickly
deteriorate leading to very hazardous travel conditions through 7
PM across these areas.
